If you’re out at Warton Crag over the next few weeks you might spot these folk -
they’re a team of rope access specialists who are working to remove invasive cotoneaster from the cliffs.
Invasive cotoneaster can cause a lot of problems for habitats like Warton Crag, damaging the cliffs and making the habitat less suitable for the native species that want to live there.
If you have invasive cotoneaster in your garden you can help by swapping it for a native alternative.

We are organising a bat event on Saturday 5th September at Trowbarrow Local Nature Reserve. Meet at 7.30pm at the shelter stone. Join a local expert who will guide you round the site. Bat detectors will be available to help in identifying passing species. Evening is suitable for all the family and will finish around 9pm.

An easy walk for people living with dementia and their carers lasting approx. one hour. Open to anyone who would welcome the support of our friendly group. No need to book, just turn up.
