Today, Alan Park, Chair of the Balmossie FBU Branch, met with newly elected SNP MSP Lloyd Melville MSP and local by-election candidate Lara Bird SNP outside Balmossie Fire and Ambulance Station to discuss the station’s future.

Lara is standing in the Arbroath and Broughty Ferry by-election on 18 June and hopes to succeed former MP Stephen Gethins.

During the visit, Alan highlighted the vital role Balmossie continues to play in protecting local communities and supporting incidents across Scotland. Recent months have demonstrated just how important the station’s firefighters, specialist resources, and ambulance crews are to maintaining emergency response and public safety.

Both Lloyd and Lara expressed their appreciation for the dedication and professionalism shown by the crews at Balmossie and recognised the valuable contribution the station makes to the communities it serves.
