Thank you to everyone who joined us during the week long Heritage Open Days at the talks, walks and at the Parish Church open morning. We enjoyed your company very much and sharing stories of the listed buildings with you. A booklet is on sale priced £2 at Aldridge Library and Lynda's Shop at Lazy Hill for anyone interested in doing the walk and learning more about these beautiful buildings. Following the success of the Poppy Road Project in 2018, Sue Satterthwaite, Mike Ballinger and Karen Ross MBE have established Aldridge Civic Trust.
The intention is to build on the wonderful civic pride shown through the Poppy Road project and raise awareness of the fact that Aldridge has a Conservation Area and what that means, along with the status of The Croft. To share our research into the fascinating people, events and buildings from our past. Details of the first events to follow soon. In the meantime we would be grateful if you could give this page a like and share it with others, to help spread the word.
