Huge thank you to Sue for organising a car boot sale to raise money for the families we sponsor in Gaza. ❤️

Sue will hopefully be attending Carbootys every weekend in September. If you have any SMALL items you’d like to donate for sale, please bring them to the Aber Wednesday vigil or message the page to arrange collection.

It’s incredibly heartwarming to see our community coming together. We simply couldn’t support these families without your kindness.

We currently sponsor 12 children and 8 adults across 3 families, helping with essentials including food, water, medication, clothing, bedding and rent.

Families in Gaza are facing unimaginable hardship. Direct donations allow them to buy what they need, when they need it, while giving them some autonomy and dignity in heartbreaking circumstances.

Mae teuluoedd yn Gaza yn wynebu caledi annirnadwy. Mae rhoddion uniongyrchol yn rhoi’r cyfle iddynt brynu’r hyn sydd ei angen arnynt, pan fydd ei angen arnynt, gan roi rhywfaint o ymreolaeth ac urddas iddynt mewn amgylchiadau mor dorcalonnus.

This week we were invited to take our fundraising stall to Marchnad Ffermwyr Borth Farmers' Market Borth Farmers Market. A huge thank you to the organisers for welcoming us. It was wonderful to meet kind and compassionate people from Borth and beyond, including members of PSC Stroud holidaying here.

The market is at the heart of the Borth’d community. Held at the beautiful Star of the Sea community space , it brings together local people selling home-grown produce, homemade bread and cakes, crafts and other products. There’s even a Welsh learners’ table in the café.

Thank you to everyone who donated, bought from our stall or stopped to talk. Special thanks to a local man who donated plants for us to sell, helping us raise more for Palestinian families.

Families in Gaza are living through unimaginable hardship. With homes destroyed, livelihoods lost and few opportunities to earn, most rely on donations for food, water, medicine and shelter.

Every donation can help a family through another day.

Thank you, Borth, for your kindness and solidarity. ❤️

Did you know that Israel has banned kites in Gaza ? In the besieged enclave, where the Palestinian people have endured over three years of genocide, even the simplest joys of the children have been stripped away. Flying a kite has been made illegal.
So in solidarity we are joining others around the world in a Global Weekend of Action to fill the skies with the kites so loved by the children and people of Palestine.

There will be special 'Free Palestine' Kites
available on the day or bring your own.
Don't worry if you haven't flown a kite for a while as there will be experienced help on
hand !

We will be collecting donations to raise funds for Palestine, focused on providing for the immediate and basic needs of people in Gaza. So please bring some cash if you can !

Bring your kites, flags, family and friends as we fill the skies once again with love and hope for Palestine.

Keir Starmer is resigning as an MP to focus on “international affairs” and “protecting women and girls”.

The former prime minister, who supported Israel as it killed at least 38,000 women and girls in Gaza, will stand down from his seat in Holborn and St Pancras in London, triggering a byelection.

"I will now focus on other things and that will be international affairs including defence, security, trade and technology in a fast-changing world,” he told the Camden New Journal newspaper.

"I will also continue, as I have done for a long time now with others, to work on combating violence against women and girls; that is an issue that matters to me hugely. It’s work I started before I became an MP and it’s work I’m keen to continue after I’m an MP.”

Starmer is reportedly interested in becoming secretary general of Nato, a role that is set to fall vacant in 2028.
