Za terénním výzkumem do Etiopie jezdí Kryštof Verner a jeho tým z Přírodovědecké fakulty UK a České geologické služby již více než deset let. I když jeho doménou je geologické a hydrogeologické mapování, ví, že na problémy Etiopie, která dlouhodobě balancuje na hranici chudoby a válek, je třeba pohlížet komplexně. Nejenže se podílí na vzdělávání místních expertů, ale letos pomáhá propojit s tímto regionem i další fakulty Univerzity Karlovy.

On 8.12. 2025, H.E. Kosek met Minister Addisu Arega Kitessa, to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the agricultural sector. The talks focused on areas such as irrigation, mechanization, crop processing, investment, capacity building, and precise agriculture.

On December 10, 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia with H.E. Miroslav Kosek, Director General for Economic Affairs H.E. Yohannes Fanta, Trade Counselor Roman Plevák, and Shewaye Mern, the 🇪🇹 MoFA officer responsible for relations with the 🇨🇿.
The main objective was to discuss preparations for the Czech-Ethiopian Business Forum focused on e-mobility, explore additional opportunities for trade cooperation, and identify sectors suitable for Czech company involvement.
