UPDATE: NEW PROJECT!

Thanks to your radical compassion and generosity we have secured a third bus! It will be leaving Poland next Monday, May 2nd, and will bring 50 more beautiful souls to Spain. With this third bus we will have relocated 150+ people into safety. But we want to go further and extend our support to those displaced families within Ukraine that cannot or do not want to leave their country. We are now working on refurbishing an old hospital in Stryi to accommodate 250+ people. We need anything from fridges, washing machines, bunk beds, mattresses, industrial pots and pans to food, toiletries and underwear. I am organizing several local campaigns among my friends and some schools to donate the small items , which will be sent straight into the hospital with the third bus. We do need, however, to purchase the larger items and buy produce and fresh foods to feed those families, so please keep sharing our gofundme with others to continue raising funds, and support hundreds of people in need.

NEWS, NEWS, GREAT NEWS!!!
Dear friends and family, I have great news to share. Last weekend we flew our first family from Warsaw to Barcelona. Ironically, the per person bus cost is the same as plane tickets, but many families have no passports, hence the coach option. But Olena and her 7-year old Maria had biometric passports and are were able to jump on a plane. Moreover, Olena has a severe medical condition so the flight was a much better option for them. They are now in Malaga, safe and sound with a host family, but meeting and hosting them for two days was wonderful. Maria, who has recently lost her father, smiled and played with Amar the entire time, and Olena’s english was very good, so we were able to chat, share life stories and discuss the challenges of being single mothers. We also discussed her medical situation and expensive treatment, but it seems like Spain’s amazing universal health system will not only provide free health care but will also cover her €1,000 monthly prescriptions. I can’t convey with words how moving it was to be hugged by Olena, and hear her saying, with tears in her eyes, she felt safe, supported and hopeful about her health. She asked me to thank everyone of you for helping her and her child, so THANK YOU 🙂

UPDATE! our 2nd bus has arrived to barcelona safe and sound. the bus broke down and the journey took way longer than expected. the families made it to barcelona in the early am, hence i could not go to welcome them. they were exhausted and ready to go home and they did not take videos or photos. but the only picture i have says it all; alleluia indeed. thanks for your endless support and trust 💖

GREAT NEWS!!! our second bus is departing from Poland. there are 52 people in that bus leaving the war and coming to Barcelona looking for a temporary new home until the war ends. I feel ecstatic. thanks for making their evacuation possible ❤

Despite the rain, the delays and the departure's hecticness, Juntos Por La Vida, our partnered NGO in the border of Poland and Ukraine, was able to record a brief video as the bus was leaving last Friday. I just got the video; I did not ask for it but they wanted to thank you for your support. I feel really moved to see the families I just met on Saturday loading up the bus and getting ready to start their trip to Spain, a trip that is now a reality. Thank you for trusting me, for supporting these families evacuation and for giving them hope during these difficult moments. LOVE always wins ❤

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!
Our first bus is on its way to Spain as I type this! As you know, the bus was supposed to leave tomorrow, but there was a big issue this morning with another bus and there were 45 people very tired and very ready to leave the refugee camp in Przemysl and to relocate somewhere more human, so things got shifted. Good thing I was up at 4.45h this morning; the president of Juntos Por La Vida, the NGO we have partnered with and that are currently in Przemysl, was up early too and asked me if we could be flexible, leave today and make a wire ASAP to pay for the last-minute bus. I obviously said yes. The bus arrived with a 5 hour delay because it was coming from Ukraine and crossing the border was hectic. When the bus finally arrived it was pouring, so there was not much time nor energy to document the departure well. Juntos Por La Vida wanted to record a message in English for all of you who have supported this journey, but it did not happened. I am aware you supported me immediately and so generously to act fast and tackle real needs on the ground, so I know all you care is to know we have 45 women, elders and children as young as 10-month old on their way to Spain to start a new journey and a new life here until this nightmare ends. I have no words to thank you for your trust and the opportunity to be doing this. I am in the frontline, charged with moving stories and daily messages from these families, but you are the ones making all this possible. Дякую

good morning! because we need positive things during these dark times, i am here to bright up you day with good news. Vika started school and everyone in the village welcomed her with open arms. she was gifted a brand new backpack for her first school day, kids made signs in ukrainian to make her feel at home, and everyone was ecstatic to be part of this beautiful journey. thanks to the beautiful people of Adahuesca for being so generous and inclusive

UPDATE!!! our first bus is leaving Poland on april 1st thanks to your infinite generosity and trust. and apologies for not having updated you earlier. new challenges came up and my goal has focused, not only on completing this mission, but also ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone involved. we also wanted to discuss our plans with NGOs and local agencies so they were aware and supportive of our initiative. the Supa Care for Ukraine initiative fund was created to act fast and complement other efforts, rather than duplicating and getting on the way of the professionals who are on site. thanks again to everyone. we are very close to our final goal of 40k so please keep sharing and supporting this initiative 🙏💗🇺🇦💗🙏
