🍇 A Geographical Indication (GI) links a product’s qualities or reputation to where it is produced. Whether it is a traditional cheese, a local wine or a unique craft product, drive sustainable practices, protect cultural heritage and support local economies.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office - EUIPO, through , assists 🇺🇦 Ukraine, 🇲🇩 Moldova and 🇦🇲 Armenia in strengthening their GI frameworks, promoting interinstitutional dialogue and helping producers navigate IP systems.

As of 2025, the EUIPO is also responsible for registering craft and industrial GIs across the EU, reinforcing its position as a global hub for .
