A little physics at the weekend can't hurt in the contemplative pre-Christmas period. Created entirely with pure MI (human intelligence).
The AI (ChatGPT and Gemini, that's all I asked) wanted to completely rewrite it, because my result... contradicts the current state of climate physics.
HI: thinks for itself and questions things, AI: copies and thinks it knows better.
So: don't trust AI, only your own brain!

The wind mania and its climatic consequences

The data provided by Windeurope illustrates the limited impact of further expanding wind power capacity. The graphs show production in August this year. Despite an installed capacity of 285 GW (37 GW offshore and 248 GW onshore), an hourly average of 37.34 GW was fed into the grid, which corresponds to 13.1% of the installed capacity.
In Germany, which leads with an installed capacity of around 73 GW, only 9.4 GW was fed into the grid per hour, corresponding to 12.87% of the installed capacity.
The maximum possible extraction of wind energy has long been achieved with the existing turbines. Even a factor of four or more would not be a problem.
Ignoring this in politics is not only unwise, but also harmful: it is a disservice to the environment, people, and the economy.
