Another one for the books! 🙌⛷️
Our last ski trip of the season was a success! Montafon delivered great powder and even better slopes.
Thanks to everyone who attended for showing up on time every time and keeping the energy high from first lift to last lap. You all were amazing! Also major appreciation to Trick XVII for the awesome support!

🤩 Top Volunteers from 2025 🤩

Trip leads for our ITT and ODR programs work on a volunteer basis and dedicate their free time to facilitate exceptional trips for the Spangdahlem community. While they do it with style and confidence, leading these trips is no easy task. Our volunteers get up early, stay up late, and spend their weekends ensuring trips run smoothly and that participants have a great time. They volunteer to drive vans throughout Europe, go to places they’ve never visited before while leading others, and accept responsibility for trip safety and success. We appreciate every awesome individual in our group of regular trip leads!

Yesterday we took time to recognize our two top volunteers from 2025. SrA Lewis and SSgt Peart both led or co-led seven trips each last year. SrA Lewis spent over 100 hours guiding participants on hikes, canoe trips, and cultural tours; SSgt Peart racked up 70 hours of leading and driving on a variety of trips as well. Both airmen are skilled drivers and trip leads and spent many hours behind the wheel of our program vans. Their commitment, generosity, leadership, and steadfast willingness to support our efforts and outings to serve the Saber Nation community is admirable and exemplary. Thanks Tyler and best of luck to Akash at his next duty station!

Each of them was presented with a Letter of Appreciation signed by FSS Commander Lt. Col. Amara Adams and gifted a custom passport cover reminiscent of their travels with ITT and ODR. Small tokens of our great appreciation.

Montafon seriously showed off last weekend with fresh powder, snowy mountain vibes, and the dreamiest day. This trip was full of great times and even better memories! Thanks to everyone that attended for showing up on time every time and keeping the energy high from first lift to last lap. You all made it epic! Special thanks to Nyah for leading her first ever ODR trip! And major appreciation to Trick XVII for the awesome support!
