PRESS RELEASE / OFFICIAL STATEMENT
In Deep Sympathy and Firm Solidarity: NRNA LCC Hessen e.V. Stands with Those Affected by the Natural Disaster in Nepal
Frankfurt am Main, Germany — It is with profound shock and deep sorrow that we witness the devastating floods and landslides that have struck various regions of our homeland, Nepal. The images of suffering, the destruction of human livelihoods, and the painful loss of human lives weigh heavily on our hearts.
Our deepest condolences go out to all the families who have lost loved ones. To the injured, the grieving, and all those in the disaster-struck areas holding on for their lives and livelihoods, we send hope, strength, and our unwavering compassion. Your pain is our pain.
The Nepalese government, local authorities, and tireless rescue teams on the ground are working around the clock on search, rescue, and emergency relief operations. As the full extent of the humanitarian and material damage continues to be assessed, one thing is clear: Nepal needs our united support now.
To ensure fast, targeted, transparent, and effective aid for those affected, NRNA LCC Hessen e.V. is refraining from establishing a separate collection fund during this acute phase. Instead, we call upon our members, partners, and the entire community to directly support official state relief efforts.
• Direct Contribution: Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund (Nepal)
In times of crisis, what matters is not who collects donations, but that help arrives quickly and directly where it is needed most.
Following the acute phase, reconstruction and long-term rehabilitation will require immense effort. As soon as the specific reconstruction needs are assessed, NRNA LCC Hessen e.V. will make its targeted, needs-based contribution.
Let us stand together during these dark hours in solidarity, responsibility, and deep connection with our homeland.
🇳🇵❤️🇩🇪
In quiet memory and full solidarity,
Local Coordination Council (LCC) Hessen e.V., Germany
