A new children's park opens this year, and the Červenohorské Sedlo Resort is also an ideal starting point for cross-country skiers. Dozens of kilometres of groomed cross-country trails are ready for you around Paprsek in the beautiful setting of the Rychleby Mountains. The area also features the longest and largest snow park in Moravia and a ski school.
Families with children can also head to the Kraličák Ski Resort with its ski lifts and slopes for all categories of skiers and snowboarders. Local trails are appreciated by cross-country skiers, who may also head for the popular Jeseníky arterial. Excellent skiing conditions with high quality facilities and services are also available at other ski resorts in Přemyslov, Petříkov, Ramzová and Ostružná.
Tourists who visit Jeseníky in the winter are combining sports activities with relaxation with increasing regularity. The range of spa and wellness services is indeed very broad. The town of Jeseník has the oldest hydrotherapy spa in the world, the Priessnitz Spa. Visitors can try the local unique treatments and take advantage of the only spa in the Czech Republic with an ice rink; they can also experience a dog sled ride, a snowshoe trip or a snowmobile ride. The Olomouc Region is a perfect blend of relaxation and culture

The Olomouc Region has a long-standing spa tradition and a variety of wellness centres. In addition to top-notch care and unique treatments, the region attracts tourists with its many cultural and folklore events and delicious culinary specialties.

The Olomouc Region, however, has much more to offer. A championship golf course, a par-three course and driving ranges are to be found in Dolany-Véska near Olomouc. Golf courses in Radíkov near Teplice nad Bečvou and Kostelec na Hané near Prostějov welcome all levels of golfers.
An important part of staying in the area is the local culinary specialties. The region is primarily famous for ‘Olomouc tvarůžky’ cheese. This cheese, which has a unique flavour and aroma, is produced according to a traditional recipe and served in local restaurants in many variations. The local cuisine is also served in the Jeseníky Mts., where dozens of restaurants offer traditional local dishes for the entire tourist season.

The Olomouc Region attracts tourists with spas, unique sights and new bike tracks.

This season brings a number of new attractions to those visiting the Olomouc region, which is unique for its plentiful monuments, landmarks, and wide range of relaxation centres.

The city of Olomouc is the centre of the Olomouc Region. Thanks to its location in the middle of Moravia, Olomouc is easily accessible by motorway from Prague, Brno and Ostrava. This university city is best known for its baroque fountains and Holy Trinity Column, a UNESCO heritage site. Olomouc houses many religious monuments, such as the Archbishop's Palace, the only seat of a sitting bishop that is open to the public in Central Europe. In this season, the tours of the palace are enlivened with guides in period costumes. From June to September tourists can visit major churches free of charge. This year, the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary at Svatý Kopeček outside Olomouc, which Pope John Paul II paid a visit to, joins in for the first time. All the significant sights, historic lanes and beautiful parks can be viewed from the saddle of a bike, a four-wheeler, a tourist train or even a raft. Additionally, Olomouc boasts a unique system of forts and military buildings that surround the city. Their history is described on a new thirty-kilometre-long biking and hiking route.
The zoo at Svatý Kopeček just outside Olomouc is also introducing a new feature this season: in the summer it will open a new safari, where for the first time tourists will be able to observe the animals in the run from close up.
The Olomouc Region is also ideal for cycling trips, and is expanding its already dense network of bike trails even further this season. Bikers visiting the Rychlebské Trails are in for a great experience. This network of mountain bike trails, the largest in the Czech Republic, offers over sixty kilometres of cycling paths that start and end at the village of Černá Voda. The local routes offer something for everybody: in addition to difficult trails for experienced bikers, there is also a path for beginners and for families with children. This year sees the opening of a new, eight-kilometre-long Superflow Trail at the Rychlebské Trails. Kouty nad Desnou in the Jeseníky Mountains is home to the largest Bike Park, with tracks of varying difficulty, suitable even for less experienced bikers and children. A local six-seater chair lift takes tourists to one of the seven greatest wonders of the Czech Republic, the Dlouhé Stráně pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant lying at 1,350 m above sea level. The site is the starting point for other captivating routes along the Jeseníky ridges that are great both for pedestrians and cyclists.
Another new addition this season is the seventy-kilometre-long Biking into the Past trail through the Moravian Gate, which connects major archaeological sites in the Hranice, Přerov and Lipník nad Bečvou regions. It will take tourists to the prehistoric sites of mammoth hunters, to the medieval castle of Helfštýn or to Lipník nad Bečvou, with the oldest Jewish synagogue in Moravia.
The Olomouc Region is the second most important spa region in the Czech Republic, and is sought after by tourists looking for relaxation. Its seven spa centres continue to improve and expand their range of stays and procedures, with the number of wellness facilities growing every year as well. A Christmas atmosphere, modern ski resorts and unique landmarks will enchant visitors to the Olomouc Region

A festive atmosphere prevails in the cities of the Olomouc Region. Tourists can savour it at the Christmas markets and fairs with their acclaimed gastronomic specialties, punch and traditional products made by local craftsmen. The region also offers the unique combination of the Jeseníky Mountains, with their ski resorts, and the unique landmarks of Central Moravia.

The historical city of Olomouc is the centre of the Olomouc Region. Thanks to its location right in the middle of Moravia, Olomouc is easily accessible by motorway from Prague, Brno and Ostrava. A rich history, ancient landmarks, palaces, cathedrals and Baroque fountains create an unmistakable backdrop. Tourists in the Olomouc Region can look forward to unique monuments, museums with modern exhibits and other new features

Ancient monuments and beautiful nature attract visitors to the Olomouc Region. This year tourists can look forward to a number of new features that will make their stay in Central Moravia and the Jeseníky Mts. even more pleasant. The Olomouc Region offers an extraordinary number of castles, chateaux, museums, unique monuments, natural attractions and a wide range of possibilities for active tourism and relaxation.

The centre of the Olomouc Region is the city of Olomouc, which can be easily reached by motorways from Prague, Brno and Ostrava thanks to its location directly in the heart of Central Moravia. A university town with a rich history, Olomouc is home to a unique collection of Baroque fountains, the Holy Trinity Column (a UNESCO World Heritage monument) and beautiful parks. Tourists can also take in all of the local monuments and the surrounding area by bike (rentals are available on the Upper Square in the centre of the city), by boat and, new this year, on four-wheel vehicles.
Numerous churches, religious monuments and museums are also located in the city. Of particular interest is the newly opened Archbishop's Palace, the only seat of an acting bishop open to the public in Central Europe, the unique Archdiocesan Museum with an extensive painting gallery and the mausoleum of famous bishops in St Wenceslas Cathedral. The history of the northern part of the Olomouc Region is associated with witch trials, which are the focus of a newly opened exhibition at the Jeseník Region Museum of Natural History. On display in the cellar of the “Water Fortress” in the town of Jeseník are documents and replicas of torture devices. Visitors can also watch a film on local history. Tourists can take a trip to the Handmade Paper Factory and Museum in Velké Losiny or visit one of the seven wonders of the Czech Republic - the Dlouhé Stráně pumped-storage power plant in the Jeseníky Mts.
