🇸🇸🇨🇳 | Beijing, China | 25 June 2025| South Sudan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People’s Republic of China Presents Credentials, Deepening Bilateral Ties
H.E. Ambassador Morris Simon Batali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Sudan to the People’s Republic of China, today presented copies of his credentials to H.E. Mr. Hong Lei, Assistant Foreign Minister and Director General of the Protocol Department of the People's Republic of China. Ambassador Batali was accompanied by Deputy Head of Mission Amb. Jesse Angelo L. Loiria and Minister Plenipotentiary David Deng Aguek.
Mr. Hong Lei welcomed Ambassador Batali, reiterating China's commitment to promoting friendship and cooperation, and recalled the elevation of relations to a strategic partnership by Presidents Salva Kiir Mayardit and President Xi Jinping. He pledged close collaboration to implement the leaders' decisions and support for South Sudan's economic development and political process.
Ambassador Batali expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and affirmed his determination to deepen bilateral relations between the two sisterly countries and to work with Chinese authorities to advance friendship and cooperation. He also welcomed China's gift of building the new Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Headquarters in Juba, Republic of South Sudan.
