Since the storm on Wednesday afternoon, Municipal staff have been working to clean up the Village of Wellesley and surrounding areas. In response to the significant storm damage experienced within the Village of Wellesley, Township staff will be travelling throughout the village on the morning of Tuesday, September 8th to collect large tree branches and brush resulting from the storm, that have been placed at the curb.

📣Residents of the Village of Wellesley: Please have all brush and tree debris placed at the curb/edge of the road by 7:00am on Tuesday, September 8th to ensure it can be collected.

🍂All Township Residents: Smaller branches and brush should be placed in yard waste bags and placed at the curb for the regular yard waste day on September 15th, 2026. Bag limits will be waived✅ Township wide for this yard waste pickup only as a result of the storm damage.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work together to clean up our community following the storm.

Take some time to consider whether you can stand for municipal office to have a direct impact on the quality and affordability of your community’s day-to-day life. That’s right — municipal elections are, in some ways, more important than elections for any other level of government. Someone must take responsibility for operating local water and sewage systems, fire protection, police services, and public transit; maintaining infrastructure like local road repairs and waste disposal; managing public spaces like community parks, public libraries, recreation centers, and local arenas. Why not you?
The base salary for Councillors is $18,291.84 per year, but the reward is making your community a better place to live. Visit the listed sites for more information.
