New Victoria Beach emergency preparedness pamphlets will be available this season to help residents, cottagers, and visitors stay informed and prepared.

As Victoria Beach gets busier for the season, please help keep roads, driveways, and access routes clear for emergency responders.

A few simple reminders:
✔️ Avoid blocking roadways or narrow access routes
✔️ Be mindful of guest parking
✔️ Keep driveways and property entrances accessible
✔️ Emergency responders may need quick access at any time
✔️ Tow operators working roadside also need space to work safely

A little extra awareness can make a big difference when every second counts.

Whether you’re arriving for the long weekend or already enjoying life in Victoria Beach year-round, a quick preparedness check is always a good idea:

✔️ Check your first aid kit

🌊 Spring Shoreline Safety Reminder

As temperatures warm, shoreline conditions can change quickly. Broken ice, shifting ice piles, slippery surfaces, and cold water can all create unexpected hazards.

Please use caution near the shoreline and open water, and keep children and pets a safe distance back.

Even on beautiful days, spring water conditions can be unpredictable.

🚑 A Quick Preparedness Check

In an emergency, every minute matters.

Clear and visible civic address signage can help police, fire, EMS, and mutual aid responders locate properties more quickly — especially at night, during poor weather, or when responders may be unfamiliar with the area.

A quick thing to consider:
✔️ Is your civic address easy to spot from the road?
✔️ Is it visible at night?
✔️ Could it be hidden by trees, brush, or parked vehicles?

If your property is already clearly marked — great. If not, it may be something worth thinking about as we head into cottage and wildfire season.
