This includes: • Fireworks • Binary exploding targets • Sky lanterns • Wood‑fired hot tubs, pizza ovens, or any wood‑fired device unless it’s vented through a proper flue inside a building • Burn barrels or burn cages • Controlled‑air incinerators • Air‑curtain burners • Carbonizers

Publication of 2026 AGM Minutes and Reports

The VAID Annual General Meeting was held on Apr 18, 2026 at the Legion in Van Anda. Aside from the Trustees, employees, and Elections Officer, one member of the public attended. There are no changes to the Board of Trustees. Thank you to John Colongard and Jennifer Moore for accepting another term as Trustee. The Minutes of the 2026 AGM, along with all reports presented at the meeting, are now available for review. The Van Anda Improvement District has issued a WATER QUALITY ADVISORY

The Environmental Health Officer has recommended a water quality advisory within the Van Anda Improvement District. Please note; this is not a Boil Water Notice.

Those with health concerns may wish to follow the guidelines of the Boil Water Notice, which states that water should be boiled for two minutes prior to consumption.

All residents are requested to notify their immediate neighbours who may be unaware of the water quality advisory, especially those with health concerns.
