Happy Pride Month, Alberta!
There is so much to celebrate, and there is still so much to fight for.
Alberta’s gender and sexually diverse communities have faced escalating attacks, including the recent use of the notwithstanding clause to target trans rights. Many are asking what comes next.
But for all 2SLGBTQ+ people and their allies, please know this:
You belong. And we refuse to give up the fight until Alberta is a place where everyone is safe, respected, and free to be exactly who they are. All Albertans, regardless of whom they love, deserve a life of dignity, a great Canadian life.
