Did you know? Thirst isn't always a reliable signal as we age. 💧

Staying hydrated is one of the simplest ways to boost your energy and focus—especially in summer!

Here are 4 easy ways to stay on top of it:
💧 Start your morning with a glass of water
💧 Keep a water bottle visible throughout the day
🍃 Add fruit or mint for a refreshing twist
🍉 Eat water-rich foods like cucumber, melon, and berries

Your body does so much for you. Give it what it needs. 💚

🌡️ Heat & Air Quality Advisory 🌫️

With high temperatures and poor air quality in our region, we encourage everyone to take extra precautions, especially older adults and those with underlying health conditions.

Please remember to:

💧 Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
🏠 Stay indoors when possible, preferably in an air-conditioned or well-ventilated space.
🚶 Limit outdoor activities and avoid strenuous exercise, especially during the hottest parts of the day.
😷 If you must go outside, wear a well-fitting N95 respirator (or equivalent) when possible to help reduce exposure to wildfire smoke and poor air quality.
❤️ Listen to your body. If you experience dizziness, shortness of breath, headaches, excessive fatigue, or feel unwell, move to a cool place immediately and seek medical attention if symptoms worsen or persist.

Be cautious, take the necessary precautions, and check in on family members, friends, and neighbours who may need extra support during this heat and air quality event.

Stay safe, stay cool, and take care of one another. 💙
