Grief is hard, finding support shouldn’t be. 💬💛

JF&CS offers a safe space for youth who are grieving the loss of someone they love. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to talk about it, we’re here to help you process what you're going through in your own way.

Through one-on-one counselling and group sessions with peers who just get it, our Youth Bereavement Support program helps you feel seen, supported, and heard.

My Bubbie was the heart of our family, and experiencing grief was really hard for all of us.

For me, I didn't just lose my Bubbie, I lost the person who made our home feel safe. My mom was trying to hold us together while carrying her own heavy feelings. Then someone suggested she call JF&CS.

It’s me, Riley, again.

After everything my family had already been through, my Bubbie became our safe place.

Bubbie stepped in for everything, from driving us to programs and helping with homework to making dinners. She even changed her teaching schedule so she could pick us up from school.

Mom and Bubbie did everything they could to make life feel normal, even when things were really hard. I thought the hardest part was behind us.

JF&CS was proud to take part in this year's Miles Nadal JCC member Health & Wellness Festival, joining a variety of organizations dedicated to supporting physical and mental well-being.

From conversations about local resources to time spent connecting, it was a wonderful opportunity to meet community members and share how JF&CS supports individuals and families through every stage of life.
