A message from Oxford County

Annual fall watermain flushing begins next week in Oxford County starting on Wednesday, September 16, and is expected to wrap up on November 9.

When watermains are flushed, customers may experience discoloured water or sediment in the areas being flushed. To prepare, set aside tap water for use to avoid drawing discoloured water into your pipes. When flushing is complete and if you experience discoloured water, run cold water until the water runs clear.

As a reminder, the Township Administration Building will be closed on Monday September 7, 2026 for Labour Day. We will re-open on Tuesday September 8, 2026 at 8:30am for regular business hours.

DEADLINE EXTENDED: The deadline to complete the new Official Plan survey has been extended to September 25, 2026.

Oxford County is looking for feedback to inform the vision for the new Official Plan. Residents can provide input by completing the online survey or by submitting comments at any time throughout the Official Plan process by visiting www.oxfordcounty.ca/official-plan-engage

Please note that due to damage sustained during last night’s storm, the Township Administration Office will be closed for today, Thursday, September 3rd.

The office will reopen again Friday, September 4, 2026 for regular business hours.

Our Infrastructure and Community Services team is hard at work continuing to clean up after yesterday's storm. There is significant damage to trees around the Township.

Please note that some sections of roads remained closed due to downed trees and hydro lines. For updated road closures visit: https://www.municipal511.ca/

After a storm, the Township cleans up fallen trees and branches on public property. Staff will prioritize tree clean up on roads, followed by parks and walking trails.
