We were saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton today.

DOCFS Swan Lake is a proud program partner of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Inspired by her father’s inability to read and write Dolly started her Imagination Library in 1995 for the children within her home county. Today, her program spans five countries and gifts millions of free books each month to children around the world.
In Swan Lake First Nation, we have over 40 children from our community that receive a book from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library every month to foster their love of reading. We have been a program partner for one year but the program has been running in Canada for 20 years!!
Thank you Dolly Parton for all that you have done for children all over the world.
