Thank you for having Navigator, Jessica Wyatt deliver our Autism Acceptance and Understanding presentations to airport staff, provide input on the airport's sensory kits, and support the development of an airport social story to help passengers prepare for their travel experience.

We are grateful for Deer Lake Regional Airport’s dedication to creating a more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming travel experience for all.

ASNL would like to welcome Thomas Penney, our Labrador Regional Navigator.

After a decade in the banking industry, Tom spent the last four years working with children in care in Labrador. During this time, Tom was an advocate for more inclusive spaces for indigenous youth, and continues to seek to broaden peoples understanding of neurodiversity.

Tom is excited to join ASNL, and hopes to give families and individuals and advocate they deserve in the Labrador region.

Registration is now OPEN!

The Outdoor Adventure Club is ideal for anyone ages 14+ who wants to spend more time connecting with others while building confidence and being physically active outdoors. The purpose of Outdoor Adventure Club is to have fun exploring outdoors with others as part of a safe and supportive group while building the skills and confidence to safely adventure in natural spaces. If you enjoy spending time outdoors learning about nature, hiking, and meeting new people this could be an opportunity for you!

We will meet on Wednesdays throughout July and August at various locations on the North-East Avalon, and will engage in activities such as hiking and swimming, and exploring our local natural history with community partners such as the MUN Botanical Garden and the Geo Centre.

Spaces are limited, and the number of spots available often outnumbers the number of applications received. Filling out the registration form does not guarantee a spot in the group. Applicants will be contacted via email to follow up on their application and to confirm their spot

Registration will open on Monday, June 8th at 9:00 am and will be available here when it opens: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=t_74vYLkLESzUiOSnycP1KJbQEM0URFFj9dYoJ9Ern1UNlpVWkNWRVJWNzgxRjcxTlVISDRISFhCRy4u&route=shorturl
