Kristine grew up in Hagersville back when Haldimand and Norfolk were one county. They were married in 1998 and have 3 children. Payton 23, Jackson 22 and Hunter 19. Kristine has worked in Simcoe for the past 12 years, she and her family decided to make the move from Townsend to Simcoe in 2017. She has a history of working in Health Care. She has experience working in long-term care as both a HCA a
s well as a dietary aid, a dental assistant/administrator in various dental offices in Simcoe’s downtown as well as a General Manager of a downtown Simcoe Retirement facility. She has reeducated and become a Human Resource Specialist where she has had the opportunity to be employed in the agricultural sector in Delhi, as well as a manufacturing plant in Simcoe. She is currently employed as a Payroll Specialist for a local mutual insurance company. Kristine’s passion for the community began when she was first working in downtown Simcoe in 2010 over the years she saw a noticeable change in the demographics of the business district. Businesses were closing and clients she came into contact with at the dental practice were expressing concerns over parking as well as safety, affordable housing and many other issues that are plaguing Simcoe as well as Norfolk as a whole. This would get her speaking with her family when she arrived home and asking the question “How can an average person affect change? The answer she came up with was to get involved, get all the information and be a voice. So here she is, her children are grown, she has a job that offers flexibility, and she has the space in her life to roll up her sleeves and be the best version of herself to represent Ward 5.
