We represent the area from the North Shuswap through Sorrento to Salmon Arm, Sicamous to Enderby, Falkland and Armstrong. An open forum where we can discuss education, health care, the environment, climate change, jobs, economy and any other issues of social democracy. The Shuswap NDP is part of a larger movement called the New Democratic Party. We believe that people should be the focus of decisi
ons about jobs, environment, services, etc. We do not believe in the trickle down effect, which states that if government supports corporations they will take care of the people. This has been proven patently untrue and ineffective. While the Kochs and the Walton's get richer, we are losing the middle class and wealth inequity grows. Let's work together to support small businesses and local enterprise so that we have the tax dollars to provide the services we all need.
