Our last Know Your NHB video talked about housing allocations, but did you know there’s another way to move? Have you ever considered a house trade? 🏠🔁🏠
If you’re already an NHB tenant and would like to move, one of the fastest options is to find another tenant to trade homes with.
👉House trades can allow you to move to a home that better fits your needs, whether that means more or less space or a different location in your community. In fact, trading is often the only way to move into a home of the same size within your community.
👉If you would like to trade houses, you’ll have to fill a housing application form and indicate “Trade Request” in Section C of the form. The person you want to trade with will also need to do this.
👉Ready to make a house trade? Get a housing application at nunavikhb.ca, fill it and bring it to the housing office with 2 pieces of ID and your most recent NOA to see if you're eligible.
