🔥 PREVENT MACHINERY FIRES BEFORE THEY START! 🚜

Harvest and busy seasons mean long hours and hard-working equipment—but taking a few minutes for safety can prevent a costly fire.

Before operating machinery each day:

âś… Check for crop residue around engines, exhausts, belts and chains
âś… Inspect wiring, belts, moving parts and exhaust systems for damage or wear
âś… Look for oil, fuel or other fluid leaks
âś… Watch for any burning electrical smell

â›˝ Fuel Safely
• Never refuel with the engine running
• Let hot engines cool before refuelling
• No cell phones or electronic devices while fuelling
• Never smoke while fuelling
• Avoid getting in and out of equipment during fuelling—static electricity can ignite fuel vapours
• Clean up spills before starting the equipment

🚨 IF A MACHINE FIRE STARTS
Shut down the engine if safe to do so, grab the extinguisher, get out and call for help. Approach fires with extreme caution—opening hatches or compartments can cause flames to flare up.

If the fire is spreading, difficult to access, or beyond your ability to control, DO NOT take unnecessary risks. Get to safety!

Some interesting weather this past week right??!!

Now that Mother Nature has settled down a little bit, are YOU prepared?

If you had to leave your house in a hurry > > >
-do you know where your important documents are?
-do you know how to shut the water off to your property and does that pesky old valve even work?
-how about that emergency 72 hr kit that we have talked about over the years, did you put one together? If you did, good job!
How about having a look at it and maybe swapping some stuff out or updating it.

You don’t have one yet??? Well, now is the perfect time to throw a few things together. There are many resources available for a guide to what we should have in our kits.

Google “72 hour kit” and you will have ample information. It doesn’t have to be elaborate but we all should have something put together.

We will post a few pictures of some kits as the week goes on.

Stay safe this summer everyone!

Eyes to the skies this afternoon folks. There have been a few sighting of a few funnel clouds in our area.

How is everyone’s 72 hour kit?? When this system passes, it might be a good time to go and have a look at it!!
