ipality of Port Hope Council established the Civic Awards program in 1987 to recognize contributions and/or achievements bringing honour and enrichment to the Municipality of Port Hope. Since that time hundreds of awards have been presented in recognition of outstanding contributions in Community Service, Arts, Athletics, Agriculture, Inspiration, Philanthropy, and Environment. The Civic Awards Program continues to recognize the broad range of elements that make up Port Hope’s inspiring culture annually. The 2014 awards ceremony will be held during National Volunteer Week at the Cameco Capitol Arts Centre. Located at 20 Queen St, on Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at 7:00pm. As always admission is free, everyone is welcome to attend. We encourage you to join us for an evening of celebration for those who generously dedicate their time, talent and resources in the Municipality of Port Hope to enrich our community. Nominations are the key element of the Civic Awards program - nominations from individuals, agencies, organizations or institutions are welcome and encouraged.
