❤️🐶I thank all of you who reached out to me via the animal control page as well as my personal messenger. ❤️🐶 Rest assured that there will be justice for Willow, his previous owner will be facing charges under the criminal code of Canada under “cruelty to animals”

🐾 Help Us Find Willow His Forever Home 🐾

We’re asking for your help to find a safe, loving home for Willow.
Willow is a male mixed-breed dog with a gentle and affectionate personality. He’s not hyper — he’s a calm, laid-back boy who simply loves attention and being close to people.
Sadly, Willow has been passed from owner to owner, and with each move, he experienced increasing neglect and abuse 💔. Despite everything he’s been through, he remains incredibly sweet and trusting.
Willow truly deserves a fresh start — a peaceful, caring home where he can finally feel safe and enjoy his life the way every dog should.
⚖️ The previous owner is currently facing animal cruelty charges.
Willow will be at the vet until tomorrow. He will be given a full check up.

UPDATE – STELLA and MAXIME

Stella and Maxime are no longer in the care of Bylaw Enforcement and have been placed in an alternate care arrangement.
We would like to thank everyone who shared our posts, reached out, and offered to help — your support truly makes a difference for animals in our community.

🚨 WEEKEND FOSTERS NEEDED – STELLA & MAXIME 🚨

We are currently looking for temporary weekend fosters for Stella and Maxim (separate homes preferred).

Both dogs are friendly, social, and do very well when someone is home. They enjoy attention and being around people.

We provide:
- Food
- Leash & collar
- Kennel

⚠️Important ⚠️

- Both dogs have shown separation-related stress when left alone in their current environment
- A kennel/crate is recommended for short periods when unattended (offered while fostering)
- It is not yet known how they will respond when placed in separate foster homes

🐾 Reminder – Dog Registration + Gift Basket Draw! 🐾

We’re getting closer to the draw date for our Pet Valu gift baskets (see photos for all the great items included 👀) Each basket is packed with goodies valued at $150–$200!

To be entered, make sure your dog(s) are registered for this year. Even if you registered in previous years, you must re-register for 2026 to receive the new tags and enter into the draw.

✅ Supports future funding to better serve animals and community members

👉 Important: Please provide accurate and honest information, including vaccination status.

This helps us understand the real needs in the community and apply for the right resources and support programs.

UPDATE – STELLA and MAXIME

💔 STELLA IS STILL WAITING FOR HER SAFE PLACE 💔

Stella hasn’t had the easiest start in life. Coming from a neglect situation, she’s still learning that the world can be safe—and that she doesn’t have to worry about being left behind.

Stella is the quieter one… the one who hangs back just a little, watching and hoping someone will notice her. Once she opens up to you she cuddles right up into your side and only wants love.

She is incredibly sweet, calm, and affectionate once she feels safe. Stella loves attention—And like her sister, being left alone is hard on her, which makes shelter life especially stressful.

Stella isn’t difficult… she just needs patience, kindness, and a home where she can build confidence at her own pace. 💛

✨ What she needs:
• A consistent routine
• Gentle guidance and training (crate/kennel will help!)
• A home where someone is around most of the time, especially at first

🏡 Her best fit:
• Older children
• No cats
• Someone patient who will let her come out of her shell
With the right person, Stella is going to be the kind of dog who bonds deeply and loves quietly but fully. She just needs someone willing to give her that chance.

💔 MAXIME IS STILL WAITING FOR HER PERSON 💔

Maxime has so much love to give… she just needs someone willing to give her a chance. She hasn’t had the easiest start in life. Coming from a neglect situation, she’s still learning that she’s safe—and that someone will always come back for her.

This sweet, affectionate girl lights up when she’s with people. She leans in for pets, offers her paw, and just wants to be close. But when she’s left alone, she struggles with separation stress—something that makes kennel life especially hard on her.

Maxime isn’t “too much”… she’s just a dog who needs patience, routine, and someone to show her she’s safe. 💛

✨ What she needs:
• A consistent routine
• Someone willing to work with her (crate/kennel training will help!)
• A home where someone is around most of the time, especially at first

🏡 Her best fit:
• Older children
• No cats
• A committed adopter who understands that love + structure = success

This girl has so much potential. With the right home, she’s going to be an incredibly loyal, loving companion. She just needs someone to see past her stress and see her.

⚠️LOOKING FOR DOG OWNER – BYLAW NOTICE⚠️

Bylaw Enforcement for the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government (LMG) is attempting to locate the legal owner of a dog that was found at large within the community.

Dog Description

Breed/Type: Dutch Shepherd Mix
Colour: Dark coat, tiger stripe pattern, white boots on paws
Size: Small to medium

The dog was observed roaming within the community for an extended period and is currently being held at a known location within the community under supervision.

⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OWNER
If you believe this dog belongs to you, you are required to:

- Contact LMG Bylaw Enforcement immediately at 418-788-2222
- Provide proof of ownership

⏰ Deadline to claim:
4 days from the date of this post. The dog has been reported and observed without an owner present for more than 24 hours as of the time of posting. Deadline is June 17, 2026 by end of business.

❗ Failure to Respond
If no owner comes forward within the specified timeframe, the dog may be deemed unclaimed and/or abandoned and may be rehomed or placed for adoption in accordance with LMG bylaws.

Community Help Needed – Dog at Large (DO NOT APPROACH)

📍 Location: Micmac Drive

📅 Date/Time Seen: Multiple observations today on June 13th 2026

This dog was observed roaming at large in the community. We are trying to identify the owner so we can ensure the dog is safe and help prevent future incidents. The dog has been observed in multiple areas but last seen on Micmac drive. The dog has displayed signs of aggression so please don’t approach.

If you recognize this dog or know who the owner may be, please send a private message. Comments have been turned off to respect privacy
