We are at the sugar camp to sweeten your day today. We will be here until 3PM!

No sap to boil today, but fingers crossed for sap for tomorrow!

We have our old tappers on display with the cauldron today.

We don’t have enough sap to boil inside today, so we are going to boil outside I the cauldron! We will have the fire on by 10AM!

We still have lots of fresh treats available, including Maple Sugar Bunnies!

"Steads Maple Syrup" 🍁

Steads Maple Syrup has been a fixture in Hopetown for a very long time... I think they may have been producing Maple Syrup for the Voyageurs during the mighty Lanark fur trade?

This amazingly genuine farming family has been very kind with Eliane, theyve always treated her with respect and as a business person, even though shes only 13. Steads Maple stand is directly across the street from Eli's Berry Boutique and we get to see and smell first hand the maple production in the spring each year. Smells like I want pancakes and maple tea, just sayin.

We use Steads maple syrup in many of Elianes recipes as a natural sweetener. For example, her Strawberry iced tea, her Iced coffee, her popcycles and we put it out as a sweetener for you when you grab a hot coffee! 🔥
