A Message from the Presto Party:

We hope you have a GREAT Canada Day!

This party will serve as a predecessor to the Economic Union Party of Newfoundland formed in 1948. Led by Chelsey Crosbie and Geoff Sterling. I often wonder where Newfoundland & Labrador would be if they won instead of Joey Smallwood.

Today’s politics are very tiresome and I honestly don’t believe we are getting the full truth out of any of the modern day politicians. I want to bring people together with different ideas for the future here. The next generation will decide the future, and that’s who I am after. I believe I can make a difference that benefits all of Newfoundland and Labrador. I’m not too concerned if this party will fail or not. As it will just be a little of my time and effort. If I do win, you will be able to find me at the food truck where I will still be the same Burger Guy some of you have come to know.

Not Left. Not Right. Only Forward.

As a dual citizen of the United States and proud Newfoundlander, I’m launching the Presto Party — not out of ambition, but out of principle.

This isn’t about power. It’s about possibility.

The Presto Party stands for a freer, stronger, more self-reliant Newfoundland & Labrador — a province that invests in its people, its energy, its culture, and its future.

We believe in:

- Lower Taxes for families, workers, and small businesses

- Public & Private Healthcare, working together to serve all

- Less Dependence on Ottawa, more confidence in ourselves

- Protecting Tradition, while building our economy with local hands

- No Donations. No corporate strings. No political games.

And for anyone looking to air my dirty laundry — go for it.
I’m not afraid of my mistakes anymore. I’ve made them, I’ve owned them, and I’ve grown from them.
This party isn’t about being perfect — it’s about being real. And resilient.

President Trump pulled off a classic bait and switch.

And Canada took the bait.

Ches Crosbie was right. He knows President Trump sees Canada from the North Pole.

From the Arctic, Trump saw what many didn’t: melting ice opening new shipping routes, rising global threats from Russia and China, and untapped Northern wealth. (I.E. the Monroe Doctrine)

He also saw Mark Carney’s rise and the federal government's aggressive net-zero push—a move that’s driving Western Canada toward independence and closer ties with the U.S.

If Western and Northern Canada break away, what happens to the rest of Canada?

More importantly, what happens to Newfoundland and Labrador?

We didn’t join Canada until 1949, and we’ve never stopped fighting for our fair share. From the fisheries to offshore oil, to being ignored in national decisions. We’ve already paid the price for being on the edge tenfold.

If the country begins to fracture, we can’t sit idle. We have resources. We have a strategic Atlantic location. We have a culture and people worth fighting for.

In the past many great men and women have tried for this same action and they have always lost. I'm honored to follow in footsteps.

Win or lose.
