The Town of Oromocto is currently accepting applications for a STUDENT Recreation Maintenance Worker. This position will assist with the operations for the Town of Oromocto’s Department of Engineering & Public Works under the scope of the Parks & Sports Facilities Division.

This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in maintaining safe, clean, attractive, and well-functioning recreational spaces for residents and visitors throughout the Town of Oromocto.

The Town of Oromocto is seeking a motivated Part-time Recreation Maintenance Worker to join our Engineering and Public Works team, reporting to the Arena & Sport Facility Officer.

The division is responsible for, but not limited to, the Town of Oromocto’s sports facilities, parks and playgrounds, multi-purpose surfaces including sports courts, fields and tracks; splashpads; tot lots; comfort stations; mini grass fields; the walking tunnel; trail systems; and the dog parks, etc.

This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in maintaining safe, clean, attractive, and well-functioning recreational spaces for residents and visitors throughout the Town of Oromocto.

2027 COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAM

The Town of Oromocto provides Community Grants annually at the discretion of Council to non-profit groups or organizations whose majority of members are residents of Oromocto.

If your organization is interested in applying, please note the following:

*Application Deadline: All applications must be received no later than Friday, 09 October 2026 for consideration during Council’s 2027 budget deliberations.

*Eligibility: Only non-profit groups with a majority of members residing in Oromocto are eligible.

*Application Form: A completed application form is required. Forms are available online (link above) or can be picked up in person at the Municipal Offices:
4 Doyle Drive, 3rd Floor, Oromocto.

Important: Automatic renewal of grants has been discontinued. A new application must be submitted each year for consideration.

We encourage all eligible organizations to apply within the stated timeframe.

Important Note: Organizations selected to receive a grant will be informed by a letter from the Town in mid-February to early March.
