We will never grow tired of helping those who really need some hope and when they see someone cares, they will see that they are worth more than they may think.

There is no place for judgement and this is when real progress takes place. It fills out hearts to put these bags together and overflows when we give them out, but we dont do this for the feeling. We do this because its the Right thing to do. Helping those in need is just the humane thing to do and if we feel good about it, then maybe thats telling us what we are doing God's work 😌

We often purchased items we have not received (which can be hard as we are not rich and it can get rather expensive, but it is worth it!) to complete our bags so that there ars some snacks in them, if you'd like to help, don't be shy!

In an encampment...

I met a young man yesterday who needed a few bags, actually more than one as there were quite a few people there.
I asked him how long things have been this way for him, and he told me that it had been 8 years.

8 years....

He said that it gets better then not so good. I wished him good things, and added him and his girlfriend to my prayers.

The world is hard yet hope is always there.

Backpacks of Love by the The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay

Once a year we put together backpacks with supplies for those that need it most. For our brothers and sisters in the community!
