📣 Spring 2026 Program Update
Beginning Spring 2026, CANSWIM will be moving from level-based registration to a time block registration model.
This change allows for improved scheduling flow, better class availability, and appropriate swimmer placement.
What families need to know:
• Registration will be by time block, not by level
• Each time block has a set number of semi-private spaces
• 1–2 private lesson spots will be available within each time block
• Once a time block is full, no additional spots will be added
• Instructor requests are not accommodated
Swimmer placement
Families do not select a level at registration. Swimmers are placed by our team based on age, ability, development, and previously completed levels.
• Semi-private lessons remain 3 swimmers : 1 instructor up to Swimmer 6
• New swimmers may be assessed during their first lesson if needed
Level 7/8 & advanced swimmers
• Level 7/8 and advanced swimmers enroll in a designated combined class
• These swimmers do not register in time block semi-private lessons
• Classes are offered once per night and may include up to six swimmers
• Programming focuses on stroke development, lifesaving skills, teamwork, and peer-based learning
(Level 7/8 swimmers may enroll in a private lesson; group classes are strongly encouraged.)
Youth & Adult programs
• Offered Monday evenings
