Empowering Futures: A Pre-Employment Program for Youth Ages 18–26!
Our Pre-Employment Program for Youth is designed to equip individuals aged 18 to 26 with the confidence, skills, and experience they need to obtain and maintain employment.

About the program:
Participants will benefit from a dynamic mix of hands-on training and personal development, including:
➡️Career Readiness Workshops: Resume building, interview coaching, and workplace etiquette.
➡️Life Skills Development: Focus on both soft skills (communication, assertiveness, teamwork) and hard skills (basic tech, customer service)
➡️Employment Support: Access to mentorship, job shadowing, and connections to local employers.
➡️Life Skills Training: Financial literacy, time management, and professional goal setting plus much more!

We are back at it again this year! Our annual Backpacks for Kids Program has begun ~ we are currently accepting donations of backpacks and/or school supplies at the United Way office located at 342 Stewart Street in New Glasgow.

If you or someone you know is in need of a bike—whether for a child, youth, or adult—there’s still time to apply. Bikes are matched based on availability and sizing, so we encourage you to apply soon to help ensure the best fit. 💙

🚲 We’re in need of small bikes! Can you help? 💙

The Bikes for Kids program is currently looking for donations of 12” to 16” bikes—perfect sizes for some of our youngest riders!

If you have a gently used bike sitting at home that your child has outgrown, consider giving it a second life and helping another child get rolling this summer. ☀️
