The Nelson & District Women’s Centre youth drop-in program is BACK for youth aged 11-14 years old! It runs on Wednesdays, 3-5pm, waiver required before participating :))

This program is a safe, welcoming space for youth who want to join in, make friends and have fun together! The program runs during school weeks!

We want to encourage you all to become a member and join this important meeting. This is your organization and we want your voice to be heard!

Become a Member by a sliding scale of $20-$100 for an annual membership!

The AGM will be hosted virtually on Zoom. We understand that this can be a barrier for some people, so if you have any concerns, reach out to [email protected] for assistance!

The Agenda Package will be emailed out to registered attendees on September 15. There will be a printed copy of the agenda package at the Nelson Women's Centre if members would like to review it there.

Please note that you must be a member in good standing to attend the AGM.

A Look Behind the Scenes! ✨🍞

We had so much fun at our recent baking workshop, here is a sneak peek behind the scenes to see how the bread was made! From preparing the dough to shaping and baking, it was a hands-on look into the care, skill, and process that goes into making fresh bread, salsa and jam from our local markets.

The Curve of Time is a book Worth getting lost in! This biography follows M. Wylie Blanchet as she set sout on an adventure with her five children along the wild B.C cost. She is the captain, engineer, navigator and mother, highlighting themes of motherhood, independence and connection to nature.

Join us for a Pride Party and an afternoon of music, snacks, face painting, and Pride fun! 🌈🎉 Then, we’ll walk together to the start of the parade and join the parade as a group. 🫶

Pre-Parade Party: 1:00–2:30 PM at the Centre
Walking the Pride Parade: We’ll walk to the start of the parade and walk in the Pride Parade together!
