Thanks to a generous donation from Crooked Lake Classic, we now have an after hours book bin!
This will come in handy as our summer hours start next week! 🌞

Our new hours will be:
Monday 1:00 -4:00
Wednesday: 4:30-7:30

🌞📚 Summer Programming is Back at the Library! 📚🌞

We’re excited to welcome kids back for another summer of fun, learning, and community connection!

Join us every Monday from 1:30–3:30 PM for our free summer program designed for children ages 4–12.

Here’s what families can look forward to:

🎨 Fun, hands-on activities each week
📖 Time to explore and sign out library books
🍎 A snack provided each session
🛍️ A free tote bag for every participant
🏆 Entry into the GSSD Summer Reading Contest for those who take out a book (or TEN!)

This program is completely free of charge, with funding support from the Community Initiatives Fund.

📅 Running every Monday all summer long—come as often as you can!

We can’t wait to see familiar faces and new ones this summer at the library!

☀️📚 SUMMER JOB ALERT! 📚☀️

Looking for a fun summer job where you can be creative, energetic, and make a difference in your community? Our public library is hiring 3 Summer Programming Students to help bring the fun to Monday afternoons this summer!

🎨🧩📖 What you’ll do:

Help run exciting summer library programs for kids
Lead games, crafts, activities, and more
Work short and manageable 3-hour shifts on Monday afternoons
Gain valuable experience working with the public and as part of a team

✅ Applicants must:

Be 14 years of age or older
Have completed the Young Worker Readiness Certificate

📍 How to apply:
Please drop off your resume in person at the public library.

📅 Applications will be accepted until May 30.
