Aujourd’hui, nous avons le plaisir de vous partager un extrait du témoignage de l’un de nos jeunes bénévoles, Martin.
Arrivé il y a deux ans de Toronto, Martin a quitté ses repères et sa communauté pour rejoindre une ville où tout était nouveau pour lui. Il a rapidement choisi de s’impliquer bénévolement afin de recréer des liens avec sa nouvelle communauté, mais surtout pour contribuer et venir en aide aux autres.
Dès ses débuts, Martin a été accueilli à bras ouverts, a fait de belles rencontres et a poursuivi son engagement avec constance malgré ses études.
Aujourd’hui, Martin fait partie de la grande famille du Centre ABC, ou comme il aime l’appeler : « ma petite famille d’inconnus ». Pour lui, chaque bénévole rencontré fait automatiquement partie de cette même famille, même lorsqu’ils ne se connaissent pas encore.
Martin est sans aucun doute un véritable modèle d’inspiration 💙
Today, we are pleased to share an excerpt from the testimony of one of our young volunteers, Martin.
Having arrived from Toronto two years ago, Martin left behind his familiar surroundings and community to move to a city where everything was new to him. He quickly chose to get involved in volunteering to rebuild connections within his new community, but most importantly to contribute and help others.
From the very beginning, Martin was welcomed with open arms, met wonderful people, and continued his involvement consistently despite his studies.
Today, Martin is part of the big Centre ABC family, or as he likes to call it: “my little family of strangers.” To him, every volunteer he meets automatically becomes part of that same family, even if they have not met before.
Martin is without a doubt a true inspiration 💙
