Today was a rally of the community to celebrate Lake Ontario. Thanks to Rudy Cuzzetto for organizing the event, meeting at the Don Rowing Club and coming down the Credit River to the Lighthouse with a great reception by the Port Credit BIA .
Wonderful to see a great outpouring of support for our Lake, our community, and our Country. 🇨🇦

The huge Port Credit chair is now up a JJ Plaus Park by the Credit River for all to enjoy.

It was a pleasure to attend a significant infrastructure funding announcement for Mississauga by the Federal and Provincial governments.
The announcement is part of the Development Charge Reduction Program, a collaborative initiative with all three levels of government. Photos at Brightwater.

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued an Orange-level Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Mississauga this afternoon and evening.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing:
🌩️ Damaging winds
🧊 Large hail
🌧️ Torrential rainfall
🌪️ Possible tornadoes

Forecast confidence is high, and residents are encouraged to stay informed and be prepared to take shelter if conditions worsen.

How you can prepare:
✅ Clear debris from storm drains near your home
✅ Check downspouts and direct water away from foundations
✅ Secure loose outdoor items
✅ Prepare an emergency kit in case of a power outage
