The Township of Springwater is a picturesque municipality located in the heart of Simcoe County. Comprised of both urban and rural communities, Springwater is home to approximately 18,500 residents. Springwater was amalgamated in 1994 as a result of restructuring within the County of Simcoe, and includes the former Townships of Flos and Vespra, the Village of Elmvale and a portion of the former To

wnship of Medonte. Additionally a small parcel previously within the Town of Wasaga Beach was merged with the new municipality. Springwater is a popular four-season destination with activities and events happening year-round. From sports and recreational activities like skiing, soccer and hockey to hiking along one of the many trails in Springwater...the possibilities are endless.

Due to the dry conditions, the fire danger rating has been set at HIGH. A high fire rating means there is an increased risk for fire, where ignition from minor fuels such as grass and debris is likely, allowing fires to spread quickly, particularly under windy circumstances. Please use extreme caution when burning and always follow the rules listed on your burn permit.

Summer is a great time to enjoy our yards and gardens, but it’s also when water use is at its highest. By conserving water and following seasonal watering restrictions, we can all do our part to protect our shared water supply. Use water wisely and keep our community healthy and thriving all summer long!

Between June 1 and September 14, the following watering restrictions apply to residents on municipal water:
➡️ Residents with odd number civic addresses may use outdoor water on odd number calendar days
➡️ Residents with even number civic addresses may use outdoor water on even number calendar days
➡️ Residents may only water lawns and gardens between the hours of 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. or 7 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on their scheduled day
➡️ Residents cannot use more than one tap for the purpose of watering a lawn or garden, or for washing their vehicle
