Ontario is investing more than $29 million in Halton to strengthen emergency care, including $27.68 million for land ambulance services and $1.46 million through the Dedicated Offload Nurses Program.

These investments are helping reduce ambulance offload delays, with provincial offload times down 70% since their peak in 2022, allowing paramedics to get back on the road faster and respond to the next 9-1-1 call.

We’re continuing to invest in faster, more accessible health care for Milton and Halton.

Since 2018, we've added more than 3,500 hospital beds across Ontario, with 3,000 more on the way. 123 more are coming to Oakville and Milton hospitals.

Today, I joined Deputy Premier and Minister of Health Sylvia Jones, Effie Triantafilopoulos, MPP Stephen Crawford, and Melissa Farrell, President & CEO of Halton Healthcare to announce $165.4 million in provincial funding. This builds on our ongoing support for local care, with Halton Healthcare's operating funding increasing by 50% under our government.

It's all part of our government's historic $64 billion investment in health infrastructure, supporting over 50 major hospital projects province-wide.

More beds. More capacity. More care, closer to home.

Building safer communities starts at the grassroots level.

Today in Brampton, I announced $95,100 in funding to the Building Multicultural Communities organization for their “Safe Voices Peel” initiative, made possible through the Safer and Vital Communities Grant.

This program trains youth ambassadors in hate crime prevention, community safety, and bystander intervention, partnering with Peel Regional Police Brampton Library Our Place Peel and local groups to combat Islamophobia across Brampton and Mississauga.
