The Lighthouse Learning and Development Centre The Lighthouse Learning & Development Centre empowers neurodiverse individuals through education, life skills, and community support.

We offer Elementary and Secondary School, and Adult Services like Day Training and Work Experience. Children with Autism have individual learning barriers, but they are NOT incapable of learning. When those barriers are identified and the teaching process is personalized to how a child learns extraordinary success can be achieved. It's time we focus on what our children CAN do and embrace their differences.

Some mornings feel impossible… until they’re not. 💙
Moments like this remind us that progress doesn’t always look loud or big. Sometimes it looks like a child calmly waiting by the door, excited and ready for their day. Hearing that the morning struggle became a peaceful routine means more than words can express.

There is something so special about watching children learn how to play together 🤍
Moments like these may seem small, but they are building communication, confidence, problem solving, emotional regulation, friendship skills, and connection. Learning how to share space, take turns, communicate wants and needs, and enjoy being around peers are all incredibly important developmental skills.
Sometimes we need to pause, take it all in, and celebrate these moments because for many children, this is huge progress. 💙
Play is so much more than just having fun — it is learning, growing, and building meaningful relationships.

Whether we are visiting the park, going for walks, exploring nature, or simply enjoying time outside together, outdoor activities help support communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, confidence, physical health, and overall well-being.
Some of the best learning moments happen beyond the classroom walls — through movement, play, connection, and real-world experiences. We love creating opportunities for our individuals to explore their community, build independence, and enjoy meaningful experiences outdoors every day. 💙
