The Danny Clarke Foundation is a not-for-profit initiative based in London, Ontario. The foundation’s mission is to help promote youth development through recreation and sport. This mission will be facilitated through annual fundraising. The Danny Clarke Foundation was created in memory of Daniel (Danny) Clarke. Tragically, in 2012, Danny passed away and the foundation’s mission reflects Danny's p

assions. Danny was an avid skier who began skiing at the age of 3 in Whistler with his family. He quickly fell in love with the sport and began racing for the London Ski Club when he was 10, and during his teenage years raced for the K2 team at The Beaver Valley Ski Club. Danny discovered coaching when he was 17, and began coaching for the London Ski Club. Danny eventually moved to Whistler in 2011 and was a coach for the K2 Team at the Whistler Ski Club. He was also the head ski coach for the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program (WASP), a not-for-profit that provides recreational programs for people with disabilities. Danny loved coaching and his experience coaching the K2 Team in Whistler was something he had planned to enjoy doing for a long time. The opportunities that came to Danny through skiing included the joy of competition, the camaraderie of teamwork, the personal rewards of coaching and guidance and the sheer enjoyment of sport. The Danny Clarke Foundation is dedicated to fostering these opportunities for other youth. The Danny Clarke Foundation is always interested in providing bursaries and other financial support by partnering with charities that support young athletes and share the goals and objectives of our mission.

One of the things Danny liked best about Ski Racing was the team camaraderie, which is why he found coaching so rewarding. Supporting this aspect of the sport is part of our mission, and we are thrilled to be working with and supporting an organization with values like ours, the Mike & Manny Foundation! Throughout the night we will have wonderful Zach McCabe singing tunes and getting you dancing. Can't wait to see you all there!

UPDATE: We are happy to announce that through our very successful fundraiser last summer, The Danny Clarke Foundation was able to help support promising young athletes attending the 2015 Mike and Manny Cowboy's Camp. The 2015 camp is currently underway and Mike and Manny are happy to report that it is off to a great start! Check out the link below to meet some of the athletes and get a glimpse from the first day of camp.
Everyone here at The Danny Clarke Foundation are so proud to be able to support the Mike & Manny Foundation and it wouldn't be possible without all of the support we've received from all of you...so THANK YOU!
