🚧 Final asphalt work at the Elm Tree Road Bridge begins next Tuesday June 2, following the bridge rehabilitation completed at the end of last year.

During construction, the bridge will be reduced to single-lane traffic with traffic control in place. Motorists should expect short delays and are asked to slow down and use caution around workers and equipment.

Work is expected to be completed by the end of next week, weather permitting.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this work.

💧 Routine spring watermain flushing began this month for Kawartha Lakes Drinking Water Systems.

Watermain flushing helps keep drinking water safe by removing built-up sediment in water pipes.

During flushing, residents may notice temporary cloudy or discoloured water or changes in water pressure. This is normal and not harmful. If your water appears discoloured, run your cold water tap until it clears.
