Lennox Island First Nation is proud to have received funding support to deliver a year-long Treaty Commemoration Project recognizing the 300th anniversary of the Peace and Friendship Treaties.

It was an honour to welcome Minister Marc Miller, MP Bobby Morrissey, and Senator Brian Francis to Lennox Island for todayโ€™s announcement.

This important initiative is focused on honoring the Peace and Friendship Treaties through seasonal cultural gatherings, educational activities, and community celebrations. The project will provide opportunities to commemorate and reflect on the significance of the Treaties while celebrating and sharing their lasting importance with future generations.
