As Strong contender and other tournaments have come to a close, we'd like to thank all the volunteers and members who have helped host and make the events possible.
We'd also like to highlight members from our unit who participated including MCpl Boulianne and Avr. Vanderstelt; who's goal keeping helped her team win first in strong contender hockey, pulled in silver playing in the mens western regionals as well as earning herself a Player of the Game award.
Well Done all!

Honorable Mention:

We'd like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank Cpl Hollman. This past year, Cpl Hollman stopped at the scene of a vehicle collision on base and helped provide medical aid until emergency services arrived. We were glad to be able to share a Challenge Coin; as a token of our appreciation for his assistance.

If you know a member of our CFB Edmonton community who has assisted in an emergency situation, spearheaded a new first aid course or maybe helped implement new fire safety programs let us know! If you send us a brief direct message here to nominate your neighbors, we'd love to be able to shine some light on the positive impacts members have made and share a coin as a show of our appreciation.

It's been a busy month of training and events for your CFB Edmonton firefighters. From family fall events to unit birthdays, annual recertification to interagency training, your base emergency services personal are always on the move. The training alongside AHS and MAFT Canada allows for more realistic hands on training and facilitates smooth operations with other organizations.

As we close in on Fire Prevention and Safety week, now is a great time to remember to check your home smoke detectors and ensure all residents know emergency plans at home and at work.
