My kids are my unofficial camera crew. B roll happens whenever we are out and I always have to remember to mute the video when editing. This time I left it off on purpose so you could get the full experience. Including them letting me know they absolutely did not need my directions. Geeze mum, we know.
Content gets made in the gaps. Between sessions, in the car park before school pickup, on a walk with my notes app open. Ideas go straight into notes before they disappear and I track reel text in a Google Sheet
I batch when I can and I am slowly getting more comfortable with talking head reels. My VA helps with carousels but honestly I enjoy the content side so I do most of it myself.
It uses a completely different part of my brain from therapy and I have genuinely loved discovering a creative side that never knew I had.
Content ideas come from real conversations. Questions that keep coming up in supervision, patterns I notice in coaching, and honestly some of the truly unhinged things I see in therapist Facebook groups.
ManyChat for automations has been a recent addition and honestly where has it been my whole life.
This is the reality of creating content in the margins of a very full life. It is not perfect but it is working. Almost all of my clients find me through Instagram.
