🌟 What an Incredible Evening at Lachine Legion Branch 85/90! 🌟

Last night, June 18th, marked the kickoff of our Summer Steak BBQ Series, and what a tremendous success it was!

The turnout, the laughter, the friendships renewed, and the overwhelming positive comments reminded us exactly why the Legion continues to be such a special place within our community. Seeing members, veterans, families, friends, and guests gathered together enjoying great food and even better company made every hour of planning and preparation worthwhile.

On behalf of Branch 85/90, I would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event. Your enthusiasm, encouragement, and kind words were truly inspiring and reaffirmed that we are moving in the right direction together.

A very special thank you goes out to Sandi, Tammy, Cathy, Donna, Gary, Dan, and the countless volunteers and members behind the scenes whose hard work, dedication, and commitment helped make the evening such a success. Whether you were setting up, cooking, serving, cleaning, organizing, or simply stepping in wherever needed, your efforts did not go unnoticed. Branch 85/90 continues to grow and thrive because of people like you who generously give your time and energy for the benefit of others.

And of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention Chef Sandi, whose steak-cooking talents have become a tradition that many of our members eagerly look forward to each summer. Time and time again, Sandi delivers perfectly cooked steaks that have become a highlight of our BBQ season, and last night was no exception. The compliments were endless, and the smiles around the room said it all!

The Royal Canadian Legion is much more than a building—it is a family. Every event we host helps strengthen our Branch, support veterans and their families, and ensure that we continue serving our community for generations to come.

Last night’s attendance and the overwhelmingly positive feedback were incredibly motivating. They reminded us that when we work together, support one another, and share a common purpose, amazing things can happen.
