After some infrequent use, this page is going to be more active in being a showcase of my best & most recent face painting activity!

Stay tuned as it gets a new look through this week šŸ˜‰

It's May! (Even if it hasn't quite felt like a warm spring yet)
So Painting in the Park is back in business with a new (shortened) schedule of availability this year.

This year business will be limited to May and June, as I will be in Montreal from July onward. Prices will remain the same as last year ($20-$25 per hour, depending on the event type and size).

If you're interested in having face painting at your event (public or private), feel free to contact me via email, phone, or this page.

Stay tuned for updated picture examples (as the ones on this page are almost comically out of date!)

Hi all,
Finals are (almost!) done for me, so it's time for the customary announcement that business will resume as of May!

If you're interested in having face painting at your event (public or private), or have any questions on pricing, etc. don't hesitate to contact. As always, this page is available for messages, and you can also send emails to [email protected] .

Thanks for the continued support & here's to a good spring/summer!

Thanks everyone for another great business season here in Kingston!
As usual, school is around the corner and it's time to suspend business until next spring. Though it's never a bad time to plan for events in advance and inquire about availabilities! Any calls or emails will still be responded to promptly.
Once again, thanks to all the wonderful customers from this summer, and looking forward to serving you all again next year.

Spring is just around the corner, and so is the end of the university semester. Which means Painting in the Park will be back in operation soon!

Starting in May, I'll be back in the Kingston area and once again be able to paint for event bookings.

Some changes from last year, when I was also based in city parks during regular days, are that this season I will be mostly operating on a special event basis. Any set-up for holidays, festivals and open events will be advertised on this page and my twitter account, but I will also be available for private event bookings.

If you would like to know about any date availabilities, or want a price quote based on what type of event is being held, don't hesitate to contact either via messaging this page, or through email at [email protected] .

Thanks for the continued support, and here's hoping this summer will be a good one!

09/13/2014

As of last week, Painting in the Park is officially closed for most operations for the rest of the school year. Thanks to everyone who's helped make this summer such a great success for this student's first business!

If you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to message this page or send an email to [email protected].
See you next summer, Kingston!

How it Started

Painting in the Park is an independently operated face painting business ran by local artist Cariston Fawcett that serves the greater Kingston area. Cariston recently graduated from art school at Concordia University in 2018 and originally ran Painting in the Park as a summer business to contribute to her schooling. She was able to start her business through participating in the Ontario Summer Company Program for the summer 2014 season. The original concept of the business involved setting up a vendor’s table in city parks on certain days, (hence the name ā€œPainting in the Parkā€!) though after the first summer this business model changed to one solely based on booked events. Service is committed to being top quality for an affordable price range, and has prices ranging from a ā€˜per face’ individual fee to hourly rates. Contact for inquiries into availability for events or celebrations.
