The Ottawa Multicultural Lions Club Branch is looking for volunteer ESL teachers and adult students to join our friendly and welcoming English conversation classes!

Classes are free. There is no fee.

A fun and supportive way to practice your English conversation skills.
Meet new people from diverse backgrounds.
Enjoy a relaxed and encouraging environment.

Open to adult learners of all levels.

We are also seeking caring and enthusiastic volunteer teachers who would like to give back to the community and help newcomers build confidence in English.

I want you to meet Angela and her Service Dog Guide, Nugget.

Angela lives with progressive Multiple Sclerosis, facing increasing mobility challenges every day. In just nine months together, Nugget has become far more than a Dog Guide — he has become her lifeline.

Donations raised from this event will go to support the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides in providing highly trained dog guides to people with disabilities across Canada at no cost.

This is a seizure-response dog. These dogs are trained to assist Canadians (14 years or older) diagnosed with intractable epilepsy. The dogs learn to bark in response to a seizure, go and get someone inside the home, fetch a medical kit or phone, and provide comfort during a recovery period.

The Seizure Response program has opened its waitlist. Please take the time to review the updated Discovery Package document before you submit an Expression of Interest. Those who are not selected will need to wait for the next time the waitlist reopens to reapply.
