CWJI/ Prevention Worker

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager of Prevention, the Community Wellness Jurisdiction Initiative/Prevention Worker will provide support to CTK Community. The CWJI/Prevention Worker will provide a holistic approach to the wellness of the child, family and the community based on the Nakota First Nations culture and traditions. In this position, the CWJI/Prevention Worker will work collectively with the CTK Integrated Service Team. The CWJI/Prevention Worker must also demonstrate effective, written and verbal skills to deal with community members in a professional and respectful manner, and to provide early intervention to families at risk.

Education & Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Social Work (BSW) or Bachelor of Indian Social Work (BISW) combined with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with at risk children, youth and families;
• Bachelor’s Degree, in a related field or a combination of work directly related to Child & youth protection services experience.

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO QUALIFIED CTK FIRST NATION MEMBERS. Submit resume, cover letter with copies of certification; recent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sectors check; copy of valid Driver’s abstract in confidence via email at [email protected] or by fax (306)695-2084 by June 23, 2022, at 4:30 pm.
