Author of New Book on Faith and Technology speaks at the Oak Study Centre on October 13 2021!
Derek C. Schuurman worked as an electrical engineer for several years and later completed a Ph.D. at McMaster University in robotics and computer vision. He is currently professor of computer science at Calvin University. He is a fellow of the American Scientific Affiliation and an Associate Fellow of the Kirby Laing Center for Public Theology and has written about faith and technology issues in a variety of publications. He is the author of the book Shaping a Digital World: Faith, Culture and Computer Technology published by InterVarsity Academic Press and is a co-author of a new book about faith and engineering set for publication spring 2022.
